Blessings surround me every day.
Every moment of every day, I see endless blessings around me. I consider everything associated with life to be something special.
Have you taken the time to notice all the blessing that surround you?
When I look into the eyes of laughing children, I feel blessed to share that joy.
I know that many others may not be able to experience that. I treasure every opportunity to spend time with my daughter, her children and the rest of the clan (we have 11 Grandkids)!
I intentionally take the time to learn from each experience and feel fortunate to be able to learn life lessons along the way. As a coach, I find myself saying a few things over and over again.
One of my favorite sayings is, “in life, we are either teaching a lesson, learning a lesson, or, if we are lucky, a little bit of BOTH!”
Taking in the fresh air at sunrise brings me so much happiness. I feel my lungs expand. That reminds me that I am blessed to be alive.
I am blessed to have good health and the chance to feel nature.
I take pleasure in tending to my mini garden and plan on growing all my food (okay most of it) from that garden. Knowing that I can, and will provide for them makes me feel blessed and honored.
All my senses are alive.
Okay this one really hits home for me because it was not too long ago, I was in the hospital being told I had a myocardial infarction (heart attack).
I did not know what that even meant when I heard it for the first time in my life.
My eyes, ears, and nose are able to enjoy all the world has to offer. Now when my dogs fart, that is a whole other story, but you know what I mean right?
I am truly grateful to be in this position. I am conscious that everything I am able to do is because I am truly blessed.
However, it took some extensive practice to get here. It was not easy, but I can tell you with all my heart that it is worth it.
Today, I avoid taking things for granted.
Even the simple things are truly appreciated because I know others may not have access to them.
I avoid complaining about the have-nots and celebrate everything I have, for this is the only way to open the door to all that is possible in one’s life!
Have you tried focusing only on what you DO want instead of focusing on what you are trying to avoid?
One struggle that use to have me by the throat, was spending too much time worrying about all the people who did not support my mission – the ones who are not on my train.
All the people who listen to and believe the inner dialogue of thoughts they have going on regarding me. Nevermind whether their thoughts were based in truth or not.
You know the people who lack a strong constitution and would rather believe the rumors, speculations, and influence of other people who see the world through a negative lens?
I could go on and on about them, but doing that for even one second lowers my frequency, compromises my immune system and keeps me from all that could be in my own life.
Now, I just say thanks and keep my train of Xcellence moving forward toward the direction of my dreams.
After all, not everyone will say yes. There will always be more people off the train than on, and there will always be someone that does not like you just because it’s YOU!
Again, the keyword here is…
Each day, I look forward to the chance to give thanks for the good, the bad and of course the ugly.
